Puxi Grade 3: Have Fun in Soil Experiment!

During Science class on March 7th, Puxi’s Grade 3 students had a wonderful experiment. Every teacher prepared each kid a cup. At the bottom of the cup they added Snickers as bedrocks, in the middle they squished in Oreos as subsoil, and on top they put frosting as topsoil. On the very top of their soil they even added colorful popping candy as grass and flowers.

When they did the experiment they were asked to use iPads to record the whole process and review the composition of soil.

The soil content was taught through lively activities. Every child actively participated and added materials into their own cups. Every layer of the soil was so clear that it helped them to quickly understand and remember the content of the class. We believe that this yummy class experiment impressed them and helped them to become more interested in researching nature and science!
