Pudong Grade 1: Lantern Festival

Lantern Festival is around the corner and everyone is really excited about it. In Personal Growth class on February 27th, the students and teachers sat together to celebrate this grand festival together. At first, students have been informed of what Lantern Festival is and where it came from. After the introduction, the students were delighted to see that the traditional food called Yuanxiao (glutinous rice balls) had been prepared for them. Students in SHSID’s Grade 1 could barely wait to wait to taste this delicious food. “Yummy,” they murmured. At last, students all tried to solve English and Chinese language riddles, because riddling is a Lantern Festival tradition. The top 5 winners won special dog-shaped lanterns. The students were fascinated by all these fun activities!
