Puxi Grade 5-6: Opening Ceremony

On the 23rd of February, the second semester of fifth grade in SHSID officially began. The winter holidays have now past and a new semester is awaiting the students.

For this semester, both fifth and sixth grade gathered in the auditorium to attend the opening ceremony. Two students made gave speeches sharing their experience regarding study and time management. Then, Principal Liu summarized the successes of last semester and set goals for the students across this semester, encouraging them to organise their time more wisely. Mr. Liu also explained the successes of the 12th grade students, indirectly showing his audience how important self- management is. After Principal Liu’s speech, Ms. Luo, the director of 5th and 6th grade, announced how much money was raised by the students during the Charity Fair. Afterwards, the important news and activities were told to the students.

After all announcements were made, the top students were awarded with trophies and the well behaving classes were awarded Star Class prizes. With this, the opening ceremony ended.

A new semester has just started, and there is plenty of time left. Now, let's think about our schedule in the future and set plans about how to improve ourselves. Then, hopefully, every student will have something to be proud of at the end of the semester!
