SHSID Won Awards in 2018 Sichuan Science Fair

From January 26th to 27th, the Intel Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) Sichuan Regional Fair was held in Chengdu. Students from Sichuan, Shanghai, Wuhan, Weihai and other cities around China gathered at Chengdu International School (CDIS) to present the results of their research. Three students from SHSID brought two projects that respectively investigate the abiotic factors influencing algal population growth rate, and the effect of air pollution on airborne microbe biodiversity.

At the fair there were many innovative projects from the fields of biology, chemistry, computer science, physics, astronomy, etc. These projects, all conducted by high school students, underwent two days of inspection by fellow participants and judges, as well as ordinary people. Inspection began during project set-up then continued through the judging rounds and public viewing, before the most impressive student works were selected. All three students from SHSID were awarded 'Excellent Awards' for their projects. Congratulations to all of them!
