Grades 9-10：NewDay

On January 3rd, the last CAS theme day of 2017-2018 school year’s first semester was held on the two CAS class periods in the afternoon. It was entitled ‘New Day’.

The central theme was to involve activities that correlated with the ideas of Physics. Several exciting activities were set up mostly in the Zhongxing Annex Building, and both the 9th and 10th graders were able to get involved in the events. Some popular activities included ones that required the students to use their knowledge to cope with certain architectural structures. For example, the famous Zynga game with wooden building blocks had lines of people waiting for their turn, and another popular mission was to build a strong and tall structure out of marshmallows and spaghetti noodles. Apart from those activities, students also involved themselves in making paper bridges, poker card buildings, throwing eggs, and many other Physics-related events. Through New Day’s such activities, SHSID students could spent the last CAS day of this semester in an enthusiastic way.
