Puxi Grade 5: Career Day Visit to the Jiahui International Hospital

Last Thursday, the Career Day, students from Class 5(4) visited Jiahui International Hospital. After arriving at the parking lot, we saw a magnificent, large building.

When we reached the door, the class was split into two groups. The boys group first went to the internal medicine, surgery and oncology section. A member of staff told us all about the tools that are used for ears, mouth, eyes and nose. Next they went to the children’s section. There, we saw the rooms where child patients undergo operations.

After that we went to the medical imaging center. In that section we saw a lot of very cool machines. One of them was a huge circle. People were allowed to take a thorough body exam in that circle. The In-patient Department was on the 9th floor. There were normal ones and VIP ones. There was also a special type of channel for sending patients from one place to another in one minute!

The last place we went to was the hospital “lab”. We saw all sorts of machines. The staff told us that this is the place where blood condition data is sent.

After visiting, a staff member encouraged us to study hard, and perhaps one day we could be working in a hospital and helping its patients.
