Puxi Grade 1-4: Creative Ideas at a Fun Science Fair!
Puxi Grade 1-4: Creative Ideas at a Fun Science Fair!
On the afternoon of January 4th, students from the Puxi campus’ Grade 1-4 finally welcomed their long-expected Science Fair. From making teams, collecting creative ideas, to preparing experiment materials and making detailed posters, and at last practicing how to present their experiments, they’ve already put lots of effort into this big fair!
The students who participated in the science fair were asked to use scientific ways to present a science experiment and use posters to show it. Other students could look at each experiment, listen to explanations, and raise questions. What the experiments presented covered all the themes the students have learned about in science class.
The students’ delicate posters and creative experiments attracted many other students and teachers to watch. Cold, warm and hot water, which one would freeze the fastest? Putting the same object into pure water, salty water, oil or coke, which one would make it lighter? Their experiments were related to density, acidity, electricity and so on. They made good hypotheses and were willing to try and practice. They thought meticulously and explored with interest.
The science fair gave the students an opportunity to apply what they learned in real life. It motivated them to have more interest in science, and developed their practical ability and confidence. Both the participating students and the audience enjoyed it so much. We had their interest in science lives on forever!
