Grades 11-12:A Fantastic Band Play at the Music Corner

On December 29th, the rush hour that is lunch did not stop a group of students from gathering in the lobby of the Xianmian Annex to put forth their musical performance, attracting more than a dozen students to watch. The young muscians were Eric from 11(8), George Chen from 11(9), Joe from 11(8), Kitetsu from 11(2), Paul from 11(5), Robert from 11(9), and Thomas Wu from 11(3).

As a student band, the artists first performed the Chinese pop song ‘Wēnróu’, followed by AC/DC’s ‘Highway to Hell’, an American rock classic. The band was more than able to handle such a wide stylistic range. During the performance, the band members played all sorts of instruments– drum kits, acoustic bass, guitar, and even piano.

On such a gloomy, rainy day, the passionate performance from these music lovers chased away the stress and anxieties from high-school workloads like sunlight bursting through the clouds. After the last note dropped, the crowd gathering in the lobby rewarded the performers with enthusiastic applause and cheers. Well earned!
