Grades 9-10: Club Showcase
Grades 9-10: Club Showcase
The Grade 9-10 showcase is one of SHSID’s yearly events. Its purpose is to stimulate effort and reward achievements made during the first semester’s club activities.
Representatives from the applicant clubs participated in an English-language debriefing made up of of two segments: the presentation, and a ‘reply session’. Eight clubs presented their work to a jury formed by Ms. Min Liu, the Director of Grade 9-10, Ms. Yueyue Zhang and Zhen Yu, head teachers of Grade 9 and 10, Mr. Aaron Ingham and Mr. Joshua Pickart, two foreign teachers of Grade 9-10, and Dr. Yonghuan Ren from UC Berkeley. While they evaluated the presentations, the jury also gave suggestions to students on how to improve and expand their clubs.
The clubs participating in the show case were: the Technocraft Club, Dart Center, Contending Society, More Club, Simply Bakery, the Interact Club and Thinking Outside the Box. Besides regular meetings and routine activities, most clubs focused on developing students’ personal interests and self-motivation by enriching their school experiences. The school looks forward to see more excellent work presented by our students’ clubs.
