Primary School: The 4th Shanghai STEMx Contest

The 4th Shanghai STEMx Contest was held at Shanghai Xingsong Middle School on December 24th. More than 600 contestants from schools all over the city joined in with this event! Students from our Primary Section took part in the Creative Building Contest. Although it was during the Christmas break, two SHSIDs devoted their special holiday time to represent the school.

Jason form Pudong Grade 5 and Ocean from Pudong Grade 4 formed SHSID’s team. Competing alongside other 20 teams from other schools, they finished their racecars with the given Knex packet in 40 minutes. The final results will be announced later this week. Through this event, our little competitors learned new engineering skills and most importantly, had fun. We believe that these engineers will definitely surprise us with even more amazing designs in the future.
