Primary School: Grade 4 Review on Science & Geography

In Grade 4 Science and Geography, the students worked on a project for each class this November and December.

First, in Geography the students were tasked with choosing a Chinese invention to research and present in a poster or booklet. After all of the projects were finished, the fourth graders' projects culminated in a ‘Gallery Walk’, in which students were able to look at their classmates' work as well as present their findings to others.

In Science this month, the students studied plant parts and reproductive processes. Because of this focus, they were given a variety of seeds to take care of. Following the steps of the scientific method, the children had to observe, measure, and record stem growth for one week. After all data was recorded the students then completed a poster featuring their hypotheses, procedures, observations, conclusions, and bar graphs. Finally, they presented their projects to their classmates.
