Grade 12: Art Festival

On December 20th, the juniors and seniors gathered together for the 2017 Art Festival. During this busy month, all of the performers devoted their time to practice, hoping to deliver fabulous performances.

The School String Assembly delivered an extraordinarily beautiful song, immediately grabbing the audience’s attention. Happy songs and passionate dancing covered the

stage in a joyous glow. The singers amazed the audience with their voices, and the dancers fascinated them with their careful and aesthetic movements.

In the morning, the students were given a card to write their Christmas blessings and New Year wishes. They put the cards into the lottery box before the Art Festival. Then our special guests drew the lottery for students. The lucky winners received a special Christmas gift.

The art festival went on, and featured many traditional Chinese elements. Dancing, classical flute music, and Peking Opera all gave the audience experiences with deep historical roots. In addition to singing and dancing, there were some other types of performance appearing on the stage in this year so that audience could enjoy more and more excellent performances.

Last but not least, the teachers brought some of their own efforts to the stage. Several Foreign teachers formed a band, and played some classic pop hits. Several Chinese teachers from the Xianmian building sang Jay Chou’s hit ‘Snail’ to encourage the students, because it is all about how if you don’t give up, all your dreams can come true. It was a great opportunity for everyone to see such exquisite performances. Now, we are looking forward to the next Art Festival.
