8th Graders' Second Training Session at the Long Museum

On the morning of December 17th, 20 eighth graders from SHSID came to the Shanghai Long Museum to receive their second training to be volunteer guides. This time the exhibition is about the three famous painters of the Dutch Golden Age; Rembrandt, Vermeer, and Halse.

First of all, the instructor from the museum introduced the content of the exhibition, including origins and backgrounds of the major art works, also well as professional vocabulary used in the art world and so on.

This time, lots of new members joined in, so the teacher once again introduced the Long Museum's layout, design, and values.

In the afternoon, there was a discussion about the exhibition, and each of the students had to choose one of their favorite paintings and describe it in before their peers in five minutes. The teacher also had to listen carefully and offer advice to the speaker.

After a day of training, everyone felt tired but happy. The students are really looking forward to Christmas and New Years holiday, when they will be real guides, and pass on the knowledge they learned to more people who love art!
