Pudong Campus: Charity Fair
Pudong Campus: Charity Fair
November 24th was a bright and golden day. On it, the students of SHSID’s Pudong campus took part in this semester’s long-anticipated Charity Fair. The students and parents displayed a variety of goods before launching this charity fair, and the hall was turned into a fantastic place full of busy people and splendid goods.
Proceedings began at 12:50. All of the parents also put great effort into this activity. Although the first graders were only 6 or 7 years old, they were all fully involved. They took part with great enthusiasm and seriousness. They designed their posters by themselves and printed out their personal pictures to distinguish their shops from others. They learned to treat every customer patiently, and with a smile. The second and third graders were more experienced and independent sellers. You might find that our students were not only customers, but also responsible sellers as well. They answered their customers’ questions nicely and counted the change with great care. They designed their shops well ahead of time and were wearing standard costumes to increase sales of food and stationery. The fourth and fifth students demonstrated their positive energy. They became outstanding leaders and cooperated with each other effectively. The most exciting game in the Fair was the Pie in the Face game. The lucky students had the chance to throw a pie into their teachers’ faces. Although our teachers’ faces became quite “dirty”, they felt so glad to make contributions to our activity.
How time flies! The Charity Fair was over and students went home with specially designed stationary, delicate hand-made objects, delicious cupcakes, and Christmas decorations. The Pudong students donated more than 30,000 RMB to the Shanghai Healing Home and Roots & Shoots. Everyone who took part in this activity has made our world a little better.
