Puxi Grade 4: Warm Donation to CereCare Wellness Center and Changqiao Second Nursing Home

Although it was a cold day, representatives of Puxi’s fourth graders had a visit to CereCare Wellness Center and Changqiao Second Nursing Home on December 8th, and donated the money they raised at the most recent Charity Fair.

The CereCare Wellness Center, founded by Lv Shunxin in 2002, works toward the rehabilitation of children with cerebral palsy, and has improved the lives of many children over the last fifteen years. One of the therapists, Ms. Chen, introduced the the center the lives of the disabled children to our students. She expressed the Center’s sincere thanks to the fourth graders.

For the Changqiao Second Nursing Home, we bought the elders living there some household appliances, such as air conditioners, refrigerators, sterilizers, stirrers, and kettles, to make their lives more comfortable and convenient. The childish faces of our students reminded the elders in the nursing home of their grandsons and granddaughters. They talked happily with our kids in the sunlight.

It’s often said that a bit of fragrance clings to the hand that gives flowers. We hope all the fourth graders can know that on one hand, doing charity work is a way to give love to others, and on the other hand, they will also receive love through doing charitable deeds.
