Grade 7: Basketball Competition
Grade 7: Basketball Competition
The weather is getting colder and colder, but the basketball court is more boisterous than ever these days due to the competitive basketball competition. The competition ended with 7(2) placing first, 7(11) second, and 7(4) in third place. However it wasn't the results that excited the students the most, but during the intense competitions where their homeroom was going against another class. Many took part in their own way, taking on the roles of cheerleaders and jubilating the players.
Each class selected their best basketball players, who were also excited to win the competition and more importantly win honor for the class. When the players scored, the students ran onto the field toward that class, shouting to cheer for them as if they were also competing with the other class’s students to see whose cheers were the loudest. The key to winning didn’t simply depend on how skilled the players were, and how they cooperated with each other, but also how the class united as a whole. The excitement, the tension, the competitiveness, and the joy of the assembled students during lunch time all made this an amazing activity that everyone looked forward to and everyone enjoyed thoroughly.
