Grade 12: Mingyi Suo from 12(1) B Won First Prize in the Quadruple Culls Adolescent Category

On November 27th, Mingyi Suo from 12-1(B) participated in the China Rowing Open in Kunming. Along with her group of other three rowers she won first place in the Quadruple Culls Adolescent category.

The China Rowing Open in Kunming wrapped up this years’ array of national rowing tournaments organized by the Chinese Rowing Association. Fifty professional and amateur teams, including teams from Japan, Korea, Singapore, and Thailand, attended this open, along with Wang Shi and other guests.

Mingyi started rowing in 2016. She was inspired by her experience in the Deep Dive Cambridge Rowing Camp in Summer 2016. Her first rowing competition was the China Rowing Masters in Nanjing where she won second place in Double Sculls.

Mingyi is also the leader of the school’s rowing club. She hopes that more students will learn become more aware of this sport and join her in future competitions.
