Puxi Grade 4: Story Mom

On November 28th, the story moms came to our classrooms with a touching story, which is actually based on a true story. After the Second World War, European countries suffered from the shortage of living supplies. An American girl named Rossi sent some living goods to a Dutch girl and they got to know each other by letters. Since then, Rossi collected more and more clothes or food to help her friend. When spring came, her friend sent many tulip seeds to her in return. Nowadays, we can still see plenty of beautiful tulips in American towns.

Story moms also advocated that every student donated a Chinese book to the Caolin Primary school where some students cannot afford to buy books.

The fourth graders were deeply touched by this story and in the donating activity they became more aware of the importance of spreading love.
