Puxi Grade 1: Phases of the Moon with Oreo Cookies

The Moon is a satellite around the Earth, and it reflects the light from the Sun so that we can see it at night. In a lunar month, the Moon shows us different phases. On the Science of Nov. 27th, Puxi first graders made the phases of the Moon with Oreo cookies and found a lot of fun.

First, teachers taught students the different phases of the Moon in a lunar month and then, asked students to follow the steps to make the phases of the Moon with Oreo cookies.

When they were making the phases of the Moon, they made the phases with the cream inside the cookies and made sure that each phase was different from other phases. Sometimes when they got some cream on their fingers, they had to eat it and said Yummy directly. So cute!

At last, all the first graders took a picture of their work and upload to the online sharing website, and then ate all the cookies!

What a fun Science class!
