Puxi Grade 3: Read-A-Thon, Let’s Read Out of Interests!

From November 13th, third graders started a Read-A-Thon. When they finish reading one book, they can get one coin, write the name of the book on it, and then put it into a piggy bank.

After two weeks, the piggy bank was full of coins. Students chose their favorite books in the library, and after lunch and during recess time, they read them quietly.

Reading can enhance their language skills, enrich their knowledge, and also help them build up good habits of reading and independent thinking.

The world within books is huge and imaginative. We hope that this activity will help our students to love reading even more. We hope they will keep it up as they grow older and wiser
