Grades 7-8: Classroom Cleanness Services You and Us

CCST stands for ‘Classroom Cleanness Service Team’. They are responsible for checking the duty of each classroom at lunchtime. In the recent weeks, the CCST has been very active in checking the 7th and 8th graders’ classrooms, which has greatly student awareness of classroom cleanliness.

First of all, each class seems to have a different standard of evaluating the cleanness of their classroom. For example, some classrooms were empty, very clean and tidy without anything on the desks (the tables were even able to reflect light) during lunch break, while the students in another class might be reviewing in a “tidy” way with all the study materials placed neatly in the top left corner of the room. The person responsible for duty would stand by the inspectors at this time to make sure everything is in the right place. In order to keep the tables and chairs in the right place, some classes had even set up a “passport” system. People might be “refused” to enter the classroom if they have a “record” of “destroying” the room…

Usually, the duty checkers come to check from around 12:40 to 12:45. The maximum of points a classroom can get is 10. A certain amount reward from the Director’s Office may be awarded if 10 points are consistently awarded per day.
