7th and 8th Grade Students donate to "Roots and Shoots"

On Friday, November 17th, six students from 7th and 8th grade visited the Roots and Shoots Shanghai office to donate money earned from the charity fair. Roots and Shoots is a global nonprofit organization, and SHSID has a Roots and Shoots service learning program in both the middle and high schools. Their mission is to improve and clean our natural environment. After the students arrived, the director of “Roots and Shoots” introduced the organization’s history and ongoing programs, and informed them of changes in the environment and how Roots and Shoots is working to improve them. SHSID donated ¥25,000 earned from the charity fair through the students' hard work towards the Roots and Shoots organization. Overall, the visit was a memorable experience, and reminds us that we need to be aware of changes in our environment and work hard to preserve it.
