Pudong Grade 2: Big Big Family Tree

Recently, the Grade 2 students learned about family history in Social Studies class. We talked about how some families have lived in the same country for many generations, and some have moved to different countries. We think it is very important and interesting for the kids to learn about their family history. We looked over some examples of family trees, and how families have changed over time. The students then created their own family tree that showed at least 3 generations of family members. The tree showed the student and their brothers, or sisters, parents, and grandparents. Students then continued to include great grandparents and even great-great-grandparents if they were able!
