8th Graders Win 2nd place in the 2017 Robo Cup Eastern China Open
8th Graders Win 2nd place in the 2017 Robo Cup Eastern China Open
On November 11th, the Robo Cup Eastern China Open was held in Shanghai. In the robot dance section of this competition, William Gu 8(6) and JasonYan 8(7) successfully achieved second place while Hanson Yang 8(7) came in third place.
They bested their opponents with more advanced programming and more user-friendly controls. They had spent a fair amount of time on the project, and said in an interview that they were very excited and happy about their result, and that their teacher Mr. Zhu seemed satisfied and content with their efforts. This success will help them further refine their strategy, and hopefully help them with next year’s FLL (First Lego League) competition. They have decided that their efforts could be amplified further, and to do that, they want to spend more time testing programs and different ideas so that they may win first prize next time.
