Grade 7: Awarding Ceremony for Sports Meeting

After an exciting sports meeting, an award ceremony cannot be avoided! On Thursday the 16th of November, the seventh graders arrived in the Primary School auditorium to attend the second and final addendum of our sports week.

Students filed in, chattering with each other, and eager to discover the champions of each event. They sat down and waited politely for the award ceremony to start.

Mr. Ni and Mr. Shen (director of Grades 7 & 8 and head teacher of Grade 7, respectively) both presented speeches and soon after, the awarding began!

First up was the overall class award, in terms of points won by winning individual medals. In first place was class 7(4), soon followed by classes 7(5) and 7(6). Next, individual prizes were presented for the 100-meter dash, the 400-meter run, and the 800-meter run, high jump, long jump, and medicine ball, respectively. Special events like tug-of-war require, of course, special mentioning.

Mr. Shen gave a well-framed speech to Ryan of class 7(10), a speech that will not, of course, be easily forgotten in the hearts of the students present. Winners of group events, such as relay races, also received prizes for their amazing teamwork.

Soon, the award ceremony of the 2017 sports meet was completed. The annual sports week came to an end. Students and teachers alike had a lot of fun while participating. Now, everyone is looking forward to the next year, so that they can win prizes and make the whole of seventh grade proud.
