Grade 8：Lab Assistant Service Learning Program

If you want to help society and integrate into it, the best way is to help out in your local area. SHSID’s lab assistants meet in groups of four in the lab building after lunch from 12:30 to 13:00, to assist the teachers there with simple tasks such as washing the testing tubes or sorting the slides that you put under the microscope. The main goal of the lab assistants is to reduce the burden on their teachers and also to learn how to serve society, step by step. It is amazing to see how doing simple tasks like these could really help out the teachers who would spend entire afternoons doing them. The managing teacher of this program is Ms. Yan from class 8(1), and students from eleven different classes attended her service learning program.
