Pudong Grade 3:Charity Fair Promo
Pudong Grade 3:Charity Fair Promo
On Tuesday, Nov. 7th, the third graders of Pudong campus assembled in the auditorium for a promo for the Charity Fair.
Do you really know the reason we hold a Charity Fair every semester? Do you know what charity is? During this meeting, the owner of the Shanghai Healing Home gave a presentation to all the students to explain the questions above.
Aaron, the owner of the Shanghai Healing Home, introduced SHH as a Non-Profit Organization that takes care of the kids with physical and mental abnormalities. He explained why the children were brought there, how they arrived at SHH, and what SHH would do to make a better future for the children. Aaron gave the example of a baby with a cleft palate. SHH raised enough money for the baby to have surgery. Now the baby has a beautiful smile and has been adopted by a loving family. SHH is one of the charities that SHSID will donate to using proceeds from the Charity Fair.
Students were touched by the stories and pictures from the Shanghai Healing Home, and said the Charity Fair is more meaningful now. They feel so honored to be a part of it.
