Pudong Grade 5: A Very Unique Science Project

In SHSID, students are always having fun exploring new worlds. This can mean looking at our own lives close-up, as well embracing the world outside. This week, Students in Grade 5 at SHSID’s Pudong campus took part in a very unique science project. They were asked to conduct a self-directed project on various geographic biomes, including tundra, marine systems, topical forests, deserts, etc. At the end of the project they had to come up with a presentation. While the students were free to present in any format they liked, they still had to faces the challenge of assigning roles and delegating work within their groups. During class time, students will only be given 35 minutes to combine everything they have as a group together, thus accomplishing the project. Most students have chosen to make a diorama where pictures as well as explanations are 3D, making it more vivid. The students have all had a lot of fun while learning about science.
