Pudong Grade 3：Sports Meet, We Have Been Waiting So Long For You!

On Monday, October 23rd, the Pudong Sports Meet finally began! Since the school postponed the meet due to last week’s rain, all the 3rd graders in the Pudong campus have been saving up their energy. When it finally came, they were so ready for the meet!

This year, the Grade 3 students had to help out with Sports Meet preparations. This was the first time that the 3rd graders had to take chairs out for the parents, but no one complained about it because they know that they have grown up since last year, and need take on more responsibilities. After some preparation, the students marched onto the field, and performed a marvelous dance for all the teachers and parents!

Next, students started their competitions with a “bang” in the 30-meter dash. All the students were cheering them on.

Then they took part in a kangaroo jump (sack race), a long jump, a three-legged race, a dribbling competition, and a basketball toss. Some parents took part in the game and spent precious time playing with their kids.

Last but not least, the breathtaking relay race came! All the athletes tried their best to win. Although it’s impossible for everyone to be the winner, every student felt a sense of belonging when they heard their classmates cheering them on.

The Sports Meet ended with on an exhilarating note. All the 3rd graders were winners, because they made a great effort and learned more about sportsmanship. The day was made even sweeter when everyone earned a celebratory ice-cream cone at the end of the day!
