Puxi Grade 5: Trivial Carnival
Puxi Grade 5: Trivial Carnival
In the afternoon of October 26th, the Trivia Carnival was held in Grade 5 and 6 in SHSID. Each class had games designed and set up by homeroom teachers. Students made nice posters for the game rules. All students were able to collect stamps for getting the answers correct. Games included not only musical chairs, catching money, flipping cups but also solving math problems, Sudoku and etc.
One of the most popular games was held in class 5(2). It is “guessing words by clues provided”. For example, Ms. Okeya showed the word “shut” on top of the paper while “sit” at the bottom which meant “Shut up! Sit down!” In class 5(7), Mr. Patrick prepared a mysterious box. Students were asked to touch the thing in the box and guess what it was without peeking. Some students were a little bit nervous when they put their hands in. These games were really fun!
Almost all students succeeded collecting over 20 stamps. At the end of the Carnival, they went to exchange prizes. It was such a long line that somebody even waited for about 20 minutes to get their prizes. The biggest prize was a beautiful house model which needed 55 stamps. No one has yet succeeded in getting it.
Many thanks to the teachers and student helpers! We had a great time at the Trivia Carnival!
