7th and 8th Grade Halloween Haunted Hallway

On Friday, many students went to take a look around at the Halloween Haunted Hallway, so we, as the news group, decided to give it a go.

The Haunted Hallway was an event devised by the ASB to celebrate Halloween, featuring a small corridor filled with things intended to give you a nice shock. It was set up during lunchtime and made officially open to the public at 12:30 PM. Here is a review for the Haunted Hallway:

It started off on the 4th floor of the middle school building, with black sheets blocking the entrance to ensure a certain degree of suspense. What surprised us the most, really, was the amount of effort put in from the very beginning. After you stepped into the corridor, the space is nearly pitch-black, with all sources of light blocked out. A video was playing in one of the windows, but that room was very bright and deflated the tension a little. However, as we walked down the corridor, hands flashed out to grab our feet. If it wasn’t for me and fellow reporter Brandon Wu spending a whole minute surveying the surroundings for potential hiding spots, then I’d probably have screamed my pants off. As we moved on, we heard muffled cries and thumping from the doors, which continued to freak us out. A sigh of relief came when we came out of the corridor, knowing that we would not be subjected to more awful screams. Well, we were wrong: the loudest, most hideous, bloodcurdling scream came only after we exited the corridor, making for a very nice final touch.

After a very long deliberation with Brandon (it lasted about two minutes), we believe that the Haunted Hallway was well-executed and thought preparations could have been slightly better, overall it deserves a 9 out of 10. Here’s a shout-out to all of the ASB members who put huge amounts of time and energy into the project to ensure everyone had a great time.
