Puxi Grade 3: Try to be a Qualified Digital Citizen!

As technology speeds forward, the Internet is becoming a bigger and interaction platform for communication and participation. It is becoming a bigger and bigger part of our lives. The internet is a wonderful thing, but it can also bring us some problems. Nowadays our students use the Internet every day, and they are all little digital citizens!

The third grade teachers designed a meaningful Personal Growth class to educate students be safe and smart while using the Internet. Teachers discussed online language, telling the kids what kinds of language are okay, and which are not.

Online bullying is also an important social issue. Pointing out those problems, the teachers helped their students to act out a class play about seeing things from other peoples’ perspectives. In this way they can show empathy to others online, and become polite digital citizen!
