Pudong Grade 1: Map Creators

This month In Social Studies we learned about maps. In class we pretended to be spiders hanging from the ceiling and created maps of our bedrooms. These maps included a title, a map key with symbols, and a compass rose. After practicing in class, it was the students turn to go home and create large maps of any place they wanted! We had maps of Disneyland, metro stations, and Little Red Riding Hood’s home. Everyone presented their maps to the class, and they were all very colorful, creative, and well prepared.
