Lecture on Traditional Chinese Medicine for 8th Graders

On October 19th, Dr. Li a lecture on Traditional Chinese Medicine for the 8th Grade students. Dr. Li taught them how to have a healthy lifestyle. According to Dr. Li, only with a healthy life style can you have enough energy to learn and to work. Just as mobile phones need to be recharged regularly, to prevent diseases, people need to have enough sleep and rest. Dr Li also recommended us to take play sports moderately and avoid eating cold things or getting cold after doing exercise.

At the end of the lecture, Doctor Li introduced Qìgōng (气功), which is a breathing exercise. To practice Qìgōng, you need to know 6 Chinese characters. They are: xū (嘘), hē (呵), hū (呼), sī (呬), chuī (吹), and xī (嘻). After practicing these activities, you will be able to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
