Grade 12: Tug of war
Grade 12: Tug of war
A tug of war tournament in front of the Xianmian building marked the beginning of the High School’s annual sports week. Students were able to take part in events including but not limited to a lottery, a scavenger hunt, and a charity run. The tug-of-war in particular was a great success. The order of the match, as usual, was arranged arbitrarily by drawing lots in order to ensure fairness.
On October 17th, after about 2 weeks of prolonged battle, Class 12 (4) and 12 (1) successfully proceeded to the final round. Class 12 (1) ultimately defeated its opponent and secured first place. The winning class also had an additional match with teachers, in which the teachers demonstrated their unexpected physical strength with a quick, sure victory over the champion class.
With the active participation of students, the tug of war ended in an enthusiastic, passionate atmosphere. It was an event which made great use of the lunch break to offer the students a chance to strengthen their bonds with each other.
