Appreciating the Beauty of Chinese Characters

The handwriting competition is a regular teaching activities in Grade 5-6’s Native Level Chinese class. In this fun game, the teachers select a famous passage of text for the students to copy. In this process, the students have a chance convey the charm of Chinese culture through calligraphy.

The teachers hope the students can keep up their handwriting skills with help from today’s electronic technology and still feel the beauty of Chinese characters stroke by stroke. They hope the story and culture behind each character touches the children deeply.
