Puxi Grade 1: My Math Stories

Puxi 1st grade teachers assigned a math project to their classes in Week 7. The 1st grade students were required to create their own math stories about addition and subtraction.

In the previous month, the 1st graders learned about addition and subtraction by identifying keywords and using them to solve everyday problems. For their project, students were required to draw a picture to go along with their stories, write down the keywords used in their stories, and then write a number sentence to solve the math problems.

Teachers were pleased with all of the excellent math stories they received, with pretty drawings and good handwriting. We hope they will continue to apply addition and subtraction to their daily life!
