Puxi Grade 1: Sports Make us a Family

Week 7 is SHSID’s Sports Week. The first graders had a special teambuilding activity during the Personal Growth class of October 12th.

The first game was Hula-hoops. Every class was divided into two groups and all the students in each group had to hold their hands and make a circle. All the students in each group had to go through the Hula-hoop with their whole body and then let next student to go on through. All the students did their best to help each other.

The second game was a ball passing game. Every class was divided into five groups and all the students in each group had to stand in one line and pass the ball over their head and then under their legs. When the last student in the line got the ball, he or she had to the head of the line and then pass the ball back again. All the groups worked together nicely and finished the game very quickly.

Good sportsmanship and teamwork are concepts we would like to reinforce in the students, and so we played various teambuilding games throughout the sports week.
