Grades 5-6: Sports Meet

The 5th and 6th grade Sports Meet took place on the first school day in October at the school’s track. Each 5th and 6th grade class was responsible for representing a specific sport during the class marching performances. Prior to the Sports Meet, each class spent a substantial amount of time preparing for the performances and creating the Sports Meet poster board. Feeling well-prepared, each class walked onto the field with joy, following their class sign and flag bearers. Following the student parade, there was a wonderful performance by the teachers, which included cheerleaders and a wind band and was impressive to all.

All of the students became real athletics on the track. They all took part in a number of events, such as races, long jumps, high jumps, and medicine ball competitions. All of the students in the stands could not stop cheering. We all gave a big round of applause for all of the sportsmanship and effort that was demonstrated by the students.

Parent volunteers also played an active role throughout the day, assisting the judges in recording scores and maintaining order. Thank you for the contribution all of the teachers and parents provided; we had a lot of fun at the Sports Meet!
