Grade 7: Happy Times at the SHSID Sports Meet
Grade 7: Happy Times at the SHSID Sports Meet
The Sports Meet of SHSID makes everyone feel excited, doesn’t it? Well, it certainly sets up a joyful atmosphere for the 7th and 8th graders. Although everyone was sweating and extremely hot, the fun of the Sports Meet was enough to take their minds off the heat.
First, there were performances from multiple classes from 7th grade and 8th grade. Every class represented different sports, and the performances were both awesome and entertaining! Everyone did a great job.
The cheerleading performance and the teachers’ performance were both extremely enjoyable. The cheerleaders all had amazing dance moves, and the teachers’ performance was cute and had a very strong sense of Chinese culture. Then came the saxophone performance, which was really good, because the tune was extremely melodic and very soothing to the ear.
During the races and relays, everyone was cheering for their class. Races came and went, relays were done, races were rushed through, and all the time, other competitions like the long jump continued. Competitions were won and lost, but more importantly, every winner and every loser had a good time.
The last of the Sports Meet events was the tug of war. The most exciting rounds were the final matches between classes of 7th and 8th grade. The tug of war was exciting, fierce and expressed the wild hearts of SHSID’s young warriors. It made everyone’s afternoon. It was a lot better than just staying in the classrooms and learning mindlessly. Everyone needs a chance to relax every now and then.
Overall, this Sports Meet was extremely successful; it made everyone’s day, saved us from classes, and let us compete in sports. How good is that?
