"Music For Patients" Service Learning Team Perform at Shanghai Children's Hospital

MFP (Music For Patients) is a service learning group created by Kingsley of class 9(1) in which students will perform in a hospital for patients. This time, more than 15 students performed in the Shanghai Children’s Hospital on September 30th, just one day before the national holiday. Some performed piano while some performed violin, but no matter what the instrument, music can soothe and calm patients’ hearts and souls. The good thing about music is that when it hits you, you sink into its beautiful melody and feel no pain. Even though the music notes are simple, they are just like the raindrops, slowly moistening people’s hearts. Doctors sacrifice their own time to relieve the stress and the pain from the patients, while we need to encourage the patients to be brave. Through this service learning group, the students can perform to help pacify people’s hearts. Showing love and concern to other people is a kind of happiness that we often forget about in our daily lives.
