Grades 9-10: PTSA meeting

On Friday the 22nd of September, Grade 9-10 held its first PTSA meeting with current PTSA members. Ms Liu Min, Director of Grade 9-10, first talked about the ASB elections and scholarship interviews held during the past few weeks. The new scholarship system puts stronger emphasizes on students’ extracurricular achievements and service on campus, as well as their efforts in pursuing their own interests, personality and leadership. The school welcomes parents to attend the SHSID Scholarship Award Ceremony. Announcement of several upcoming events were made: the first monthly test, PSAT test and Field Trip in October, Subject Day arrangements, English & Chinese Speech Competition, First Aid training, Job Shadowing and Career Day. While clarifying the significance of academic and extracurricular activities provided to all students during grade 9-10, Director Liu Min expressed thanks to all the support and volunteering provided by PTSA members and other parents.

During the second section of the PTSA meeting, PTSA members went to different rooms to meet the head teachers of each grade, Ms. Zhang Yueyue of Grade 9 and Ms. Yu Zhen in Grade 10. By introducing further details about the arrangement and schedules for each grade, the head teachers and PTSA members discussed all topics further.
