Puxi Grade 2: An Interesting Science Project

This semester, the second graders have been learning about plants in Science class. For the September Science project, the students needed to choose an organic-material object that we use in daily life and research how it is made from plants. Then they needed to make a large poster showing at least 4 steps in the process from plant to product, along with pictures and descriptions for each step.

During the Science class of September 25th, Monday, all the second graders brought their posters and some products to school for their presentation. Every student had great ideas for this project. From rose to perfume, from rubber to rubber band, from cocoa bean to chocolate, etc. Now the students have learned that so many products in daily life are made from plants, and how important plants are for humans.

With the help of this project and presentation, all the students have improved both their research and DIY skills.
