Pudong Campus 2: a Surprise in Math Class

Grade 2 students have been learning about addition and subtraction of simple two digit numbers since the beginning of this semester. Therefore, their recent math classes have tended not to be very challenging for them. But at the very moment they had begun to think that math is just a piece of cake, the teachers pulled out their trump card! They had prepared a game to test the students’ counting abilities. They divided the students into groups and gave each group a game board. They students needed to spin their board’s spinner twice to get a random number, and add the two numbers they got to find their position on the “planet”. Based on this, they can win the “Space Race” through fast and accurate calculation.

They also had a similar game called “Strawberry Sundae” which also tested their math skills. Thanks to these challenging games, the kids were so happy and excited in that day’s math class, that they were looking forward to the surprise in next math class!
