Grade 12: ASB Election

In Sep 13th CAS, the G11-12 students held an election for the new ASB members. The new ASB members would organize activities for G11-12 students for the following school year.

The ASB election was a little different from those in last few years: the election which had always taken place in the auditorium was held in the basketball court. The two-hour long election was started off by the nomination of honorable ASB members. The director of Grade 11-12, Ms Liu, issued certificates to the honored members to thank them for their contribution to ASB in the last school year.

There were a total of 13 juniors and 7 seniors who went up the stage and stood for election. Each of them demonstrated their goals, determination, and talents in their outstanding speeches. On the freestyle stage at the end of the election, the candidates again showcased their unique specialties. For example, Catherine Ma from 12(1)A had an impressible rap performance. Shin Wang from 11(6) showed off his dancing abilities. At the end, everyone- students as well as teachers- put down their final votes before heading home. No matter what the outcome is, let’s give all the candidates a big round of applause for their motivation.
