Grade 8: Fire Drill

On September the 14th, the 8th Grade students of SHSID had a fire drill. The loud, loud fire alarm went off in the New Art Building. Students in the building instantly went into action. They quickly pulled out towels, wet them, covered their noses and mouths with them and proceeded in an orderly fashion down the staircase. The Teachers left their offices early and stood near the staircase to evacuate the crowd and check the student’s behavior. Eventually, everyone got out of the building safely and lined up on the grass near the running track. Through this event, the students learned how to evacuate safely under emergency and dangerous situations while in school.
