CYBL Information Session

With the opening of registration for CYBL (China Youth Business League) competition, many students are willing to have a try and show their business talents and leadership in the competition. On Sept.12th, an information session was held in Room 207 of the Zhongxing Building. Four students who were regional champions in last year’s competition were invited to share their experiences with students who want to take future competitions. They shared information about the time, content, forms and abilities needed as well as the PPTs that they made last year in the competition, which gave a straightforward overview of the tasks needed to be done and the final outcomes of the competition. Lastly, students actively asked them questions to get more first-hand information.

CYBL was established in 2014 and is an educational platform for high school students to learn more about the world of business. Through a complete American style mode of teaching business, it aims to evaluate and develop high school students’ business talents and leadership abilities and arouses great potential for these abilities. It provides typical case analysis and financial knowledge to challenge students in a relevant manner, deepens team spirit and improve students’ business communication skills. Meanwhile, the academic advisors focus more on business environment simulations and true cases in competitions to let students improve their critical thinking skills.

So far, CYBL hosts competitions on the regional (both Spring and Autumn seasonal competitions) and national levels in China. Each year, it also invites tutors from top universities home and abroad and experts in different industries to give lectures and training for students, and be the judges of the competition.
