Grade 9 Assembly: All about the Peer adviser program

This Tuesday, freshmen students of Grade 9 gathered in the auditorium for their first assembly meeting of high school. The purpose of this week’s assembly was an introduction to the Peer Advisor Program. A few 10th grade PA leaders came up to the stage to inform the rising freshmen. Indeed, the PA program is very important for the student community. Peer advisers act as helpers for other students in school with their academics. Each 10th grade PA representative introduced one section of the PA program: tutorial, lecture, and journalist. The PA program is an opportunity for students to help each other. Tutorial PAs help with students’ exam review; lecture PAs inform other students about academic-related events, and journalists interview well-performing students for advice about learning in school. With the information given by the 10th grade students, the 9th grade students now have a better understanding of the PA program.
