Grade 10: Assembly(1)

During the P&B class on the morning of September 13th, the first assembly of the semester for 10th Graders was held in the Xianmian Auditorium.

As a weekly event, it will mainly focus on giving talented students a platform to present their skills and extracurricular activities. The assemblies that inspired numerous students over the last semester have been started anew.

Natalie, who was the student representative from Class 10(11) gave a brief introduction on her out-of-school work experiences, during which she emphasized her realization of the difficulty in earning money and her increased appreciation for her parents’ monetary contributions to the family. Natalie’s speech focused on two main events, the first being her job as the assistant in an art workshop in an exhibition and the second being the work she had as a tutor. After summarizing the two jobs, Natalie went on to compare the salary difference of her jobs, explaining how her second job gave her less wages and more work than her first job, but that it was through her second work experience that she gained her appreciation for the value of money.

Natalie, with her thoughtful speech, gave her audiences enough inspiration regarding the value of money to ponder upon for the rest of the week.
