Grade 8: English Picture Book Reading Team Starts Activity

On September 10th, Shanghai High School International Division 8th grade’s service learning project– the English book reading club- was held. But it wasn’t any ordinary day…it was Teachers' Day. Richard and Edwin prepared the materials for the pen holder. Cherry and Brian prepared the class Powerpoint. The volunteers taught the story of “Pumpkin Soup” in both Chinese and English, and helped the children to create pen holders. Teaching kindergarten students is a very tough job. You can get interrupted by these small children very often, but the volunteers taught them cheerfully and patiently. This experience let us know that being a teacher is not always easy. So, we had a very special and unusual Teacher's Day!
